THE DIOGENES REPORT
THE ‘POLITICALLY INCORRECT’ GENERAL There is rising tide from Democratic politicians and editorial writers to remove Gen. William Boykin, who called the war on terrorism a ’Christian battle.’ The general’s comments may be politically incorrect, but they are right on target. As a matter of fact, the war on terrorism is more than a Christian battle, rather it is a war of Islam against the West. This is something Americans don’t like to hear, but the sooner we recognize this reality the sooner we will win this war which endangers America and all of the western world. In the first 1,000 years of its history, Islam, through the sword and the spear, conquered a large part of the world from Spain, North Africa, the Balkans, the Middle East, Persia, Afghanistan, India and places in between and beyond. These nations were converted to Islam by force, and the penalty for refusal was death. And it was by force that Islam’s forward march was stopped—in southern France, in Spain, at the gates of Vienna, by the Venetian navy, and by the Hindu princes of India. Colonialism provided control Then, for several hundred years, the colonial powers of Europe—England, France, Holland, Italy and Russia—controlled most of the Muslim world. After World War II the colonial system ended and the rise of the oil economy gave the Muslims new power and ambitions. Oil money and the openness of the West has given the Islamic nations the latest technology. But instead of spreading the wealth to improve the lives of their citizens, these countries which are political or theocratic dictatorships use the money for the benefit of their rulers. To the Muslims, the West has become soft and it is now time to renew Islam’s march to its destiny—turning the whole world Muslim. Usama bin Laden himself predicted that America will cut and run after a few casualties like we did in Somalia and Lebanon. Europe can be considered a lost cause when it comes to standing up to Islam. Rolling over and begging for mercy is nothing new for the Europeans who did not stand up to Hitler. Turning America Muslim After all, their prophet promised that the enemies of Islam would melt before the forces of Allah.. Some Muslim leader predicted that they will turn America Muslim in the near future, as they have significant parts of black Africa. Let’s not underestimate what this aggressive religion is capable of accomplishing. As the Prime Minister of Malaysia said just a week ago, with proper planning no one will be able to stop 1.3 billion Muslims. And the leaders of the other Muslim nations attending the Islamic conference cheered. Our so-called ally. Saudi Arabia is a leader in spending billions to direct the hatred of its people and those in other Muslim states away from the inequities of Islamic governments and toward the West—especially, the United States and Israel. It was Saudi money and people that fueled al Qaeda and the string of atrocities committed by that terrorist organization. It is Saudi money that supports the madrassas in Pakistan and Indonesia and now Egypt-- religious schools that preach hatred of the West and the modern world. These religious schools do not teach trades or skills that can make their graduates employable or give them hope for a decent future. These young men who have learned to hate the West are the fodder for al Qaeda terrorism in Afghanistan and elsewhere. Every time the Saudis are confronted by the American Government about their support of terrorism, they claim that they no longer do that. But every week or so another story breaks about their continuing support for various terror organizations. And the financial support for terror reaches around the world including the United States. The terrorist infrastructure controls billions of dollars in “legitimate” businesses. It is obvious that an infrastructure of this size cannot flourish without the support of Muslim communities and countries. These same communities and nations are also the support required for terrorist actions. A worldwide problem It is not only in places that are familiar to us that the Muslims are causing problems but in every place in the world that has a significant Muslim population. A partial list will indicate the scope of this war: Bosnia, Kosovo, Chechnya, Israel, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Liberia, Uganda, Algeria, Sudan, Somalia, Eritrea, Iraq, Iran, India, Pakistan, Kashmir, China, the Philippines, Indonesia, Cambodia, Thailand and Burma. And every Friday, when the imams in the government support mosques around the world and many independent mosques in the U.S. spout venomous attacks on the West, the United States and Israel, the faithful know what is required of them. So don’t fire Gen. Boykin but give him the support to do his job.
WE NEED A REAL DOWNSIDE The news about our thieving executives, financial specialists and public officials gets more outrageous every day. And why not? Their thievery is netting them well beyond the millions and may have already skyrocketed into the billions. They are convinced greed is good and that crime pays—at least for them. No cop on the beat is going steal their stash. They know that they won’t be incarcerated with rapists, axe murderers, Latin Kings, Crips or Bloods. They know that after being forced to give up less than half of their stolen billion bucks, they will spend a couple of years at a country club jail attached to a golf course. America’s business leaders and public officials have no motivation to be honest. The upside of stealing is too rewarding and the downside is no very far down. So Diogenes suggests that we upgrade the downside with some modified Saudi punishment. For example: if the guy steals under $5 million his arm is cut off at the wrist; if e steals over $5 million but under $10 million his arm is cut off at the elbow; for a $10 million to $25 million theft, the arm comes off at the shoulder. If he is a real goniff, we move to the other arm. Going to the legs is a further option. Looking forward to the new penalties, will all of the Enron, WorldCom and Tyco executives, as well as the mutual fund managers and government officials who want to hold on to their ill- gotten gains, please raise their right hands.
ACROSS MY RADAR SCREEN Stupid Americans…Stupid Israelis After reading the following news items, please explain to Diogenes why Arabs are still allowed to walk the streets of those Iraqi and Israeli cities: Guerrilla fighters attacked a U.S. convoy carrying ammunition near Fallujah. Men on the streets of Fallujah who identified themselves as Fedayeen fighters said the United States had been underestimating casualties as the attacks on its troops steadily mount. Palestinian gunmen ambushed an Israeli army patrol in the West Bank town of Ein Yabrud killing three soldiers. The area has been the scene of frequent gunfire attacks against Israeli civilian and military vehicles. Stupid, stupid Americans…stupid, stupid Israelis. After this piece was written, an America chopper was shot down over Fallujah killing 16 soldier. So why is Fallujah is still standing?
Try Force Feeding This suggestion to cut down suicide bombings in Iraq during Ramadan may be too clever by half, but it is worth considering. Very likely, the suicide bombers consider themselves holy when they embark on one of their missions during Ramadan. And as good Muslims they expect to go to heaven when they complete their holy task of blowing themselves up. Since fasting is required of Muslims until after sundown during Ramadan, a Muslim who has partaken of food during the day is probably not considered pure and as a result may not be eligible for Muslim heaven when he blows himself up. So the trick is to force all Muslim males between the ages of 15 and 65 out of their homes in the Sunni triangle at the crack of dawn each day during Ramadan. Line them up in the streets or along a highway and have large water trucks carrying farina or some other breakfast mush instead of water and shove the hoses into the mouths of each Iraqi for a 10-second break-the-fast treat. Since this status of impurity will kill their chances of getting into Muslim heaven and meeting 70 virgins that day, it will end their motivation to carry out suicide bombings. Voila.

READERS’ COMMENTS Go ahead and criticize the Bush administration for its execution of its war against terrorism (sic Islam). But to criticize their words is a little like Biblical scholarship. With a diverse administration which ranges from Powell to Rumsfeld and that other general who has still not been fired, you can prove any point you want. With their actions which are often muddled, you will always be able to find fault. But this administration has been fairly successful in closing down networks which finance Islamic terrorism. At the same time they have to tell all the Black Brothers that they are still considered Americans (except when they start acting like Arab terrorists themselves). And they have to be a little careful about the way they go after religious charities. After all, as usual we Jews have set the precedent with the UJA, a world standard in the use of philanthropy to support a foreign state. Tread a little carefully. --------------------------- The democratic nine dwarfs trying their best by blowing smoke to cover their ineptitude to put forth a proper program to run this country will fail. They are talking to radicals that have no sense but to bring down this country to a third world level.
